Solidarity with Germany: Klimacamp in Rheinland

This summer is going to be a big one. In the face of the 21st UN climate summit in Paris, grassroots groups and organisations all over Europe are calling for climate justice, and taking on the solutions themselves.

Klimacamp-2015

From August 7 to August 17, there will be a climate camp in the Rhineland coal field. These lignite coal fields are owned by RWE, who also own Npower and Didcot power station in Oxfordshire, England – where Reclaim the Power will hold a mass action camp on 29th May.  The aim is to build the climate movement, to network, to celebrate, to inspire each other and to put into practice the alternatives we envision.

Come along and bring your tent, your music instrument, your friends or offer a workshop! The camp will be an important milestone in the European mobilisation for COP21 in Paris at the end of the year – we expect people from all over!
